Automated and attendant-operated systems
Every system below can be custom-manufactured to your site dimensions, capacity goals and vehicle requirements. If you are not sure which category fits your project, send us your plans and we will recommend one.
Automated or attendant-operated?
The practical difference is who moves the vehicle once the driver has arrived.
| Automated | Attendant-Operated | |
|---|---|---|
| Who parks the vehicle | The system, unattended | A trained attendant or valet |
| Driver enters the structure | No. Driver leaves at the entry cabin | Yes. Driver or valet drives onto the platform |
| Ramps and drive aisles | Not required | Reduced, not eliminated |
| Typical capacity | Medium to very high | Low to medium |
| Relative initial cost | Higher | Lower |
| Best suited to | Dense sites, high stall counts, premium developments | Residential buildings, dealerships, valet garages |
Automated parking systems
For projects requiring independent access, high density and reduced dependence on attendants. The driver stops in an entry cabin and walks away; the system stores and retrieves the vehicle with no driving, no ramps and no public access to the parked cars.
-
Puzzle Parking System
Compact, independently accessible parking in multi-level configurations, including optional pit levels. Platforms shift horizontally and vertically to open an access lane to the requested vehicle.
- Capacity
- Up to four levels, plus optional pit levels
- Operation
- Automated, every space independently accessible
- Ideal for
- Tight indoor sites, residential and mixed-use
-
Carousel & Rotary System
Parks up to 16 vehicles in the area of approximately two conventional spaces. Vehicles rotate on a continuous loop, so the smallest possible floor area serves the whole stack.
- Capacity
- Up to 16 vehicles in the area of about two spaces
- Operation
- Automated, continuous rotating loop
- Ideal for
- Narrow footprints and urban infill, indoor or outdoor
-
Rack & Rail System
Lifts and shuttles store and retrieve vehicles across large, high-volume automated facilities. The most scalable option Parkmatic supplies.
- Capacity
- Hundreds of stalls in a single facility
- Operation
- Automated, fastest retrieval at high volume
- Ideal for
- Large developments and public parking garages
-
Tower Parking System
Adds parking vertically where ground area is limited, supporting medium- and large-scale developments. One entry cabin at grade serves the full height of the structure.
- Capacity
- Vertical stacking from a single ground-level cabin
- Operation
- Automated, fast and user-friendly operation
- Ideal for
- Constrained ground area, hospitality and mixed-use
Attendant-operated systems
For valet, dealership, fleet, collector and residential applications where trained personnel control access. Lower initial cost, simpler installation and a strong fit wherever a building already has valet or maintenance staff on site.
-
Double Car Stacker
Double parking capacity within the footprint of one conventional space. A dependable solution for valet garages, residences, dealerships and vehicle storage.
- Capacity
- 2 vehicles per conventional space
- Operation
- Attendant-operated, trained staff control access
- Ideal for
- Valet garages, residential and dealership
-
Triple Car Stacker
Store three vehicles vertically without expanding the site footprint. Ideal for high-density operations managed by trained attendants.
- Capacity
- 3 vehicles per conventional space
- Operation
- Attendant-operated, three levels where height allows
- Ideal for
- Dealership inventory and valet-run residential
-
Quad Car Stacker
Store four vehicles vertically without expanding the site footprint. Built for tall clear-height spaces and dedicated vehicle-storage facilities.
- Capacity
- 4 vehicles per conventional space
- Operation
- Attendant-operated, for tall clear heights
- Ideal for
- Vehicle storage, collector storage and dealership
-
VRC Vehicle Lifts & Car Elevators
Move vehicles safely between levels while preserving valuable floor area for parking, circulation or revenue-generating uses, replacing the ramp a site would otherwise need.
- Capacity
- Recovers the floor area a ramp would consume
- Operation
- Automated or attendant-operated
- Ideal for
- All building types, above or below grade
-
Valet & Hydraulic Parking Lifts
Pit and pit-less hydraulic platforms for valet operations, available in configurations that suit low clear heights.
- Capacity
- 2 vehicles per position in low clear heights
- Operation
- Attendant-operated, pit and pit-less options
- Ideal for
- Valet garages and hospitality
- Rugged construction
- Space efficiency
- Flexible configurations
- Parkmatic installation and service
Frequently asked questions
Planning & Design
As early as possible. Clear heights, pit depths, structural loads and electrical service are far cheaper to accommodate during schematic design than after the structure is set.
Architectural or AutoCAD plans showing the parking area, the required stall count and any known constraints. Sections showing clear heights are helpful.
Yes. Because we manufacture our own equipment we can modify dimensions and configurations to suit unusual geometry rather than forcing a standard model.
Installation
Parkmatic. Installation is sequenced with your construction schedule and coordinated with the trades already on site.
Often yes, particularly stackers and lifts. A site survey confirms clear heights, slab capacity and electrical service before anything is ordered.
Operation
Retrieval time depends on the system type, capacity and number of access points. We model expected peak-hour throughput as part of the preliminary design so the system is sized for your actual demand.
Yes. Charging can be integrated on designated positions. Identifying how many positions during design avoids costly electrical changes later.
Safety
Systems include presence detection, interlocks and controls that prevent operation unless the platform area is clear. Specific provisions depend on the system type and the codes in force at your location.
Maintenance & Service
Scheduled preventive maintenance keeps a system reliable and safe. We offer maintenance agreements and supply parts and technical support directly.
Contact our service team with the make, model and location of the equipment and we will confirm what we can support.
Not sure which system fits your site?
Send your plans and required stall count. We will return a preliminary layout and a budget range at no cost.
